The Walla Walla County Fairgrounds (Walla Walla Fair & Frontier Days) has anxiously awaited the very needed and very new addition to the Fair and Rodeo....Arena Viewing Boxes and Platforms! This gives spectators an elevated view above the bucking chutes to view the rodeo grounds opposite from the main grandstands. The new viewing boxes form a half-circle around the north, south, and east edges and include a ramp on the north side. The platforms provide much needed additional space and functionality in which to enjoy the events at the rodeo. Fowler's scope included construction of the composite concrete deck, structural steel framing, and concrete foundations. Included with the platforms are access stairs, ramp, and elevated wood framed announcers booth. In addition, there is approximately 10,600 sq/ft of concrete slab on grade viewing areas below the elevated platforms.
